One of my projects is the design and development of the Rescuerunner for Safe at Sea and the Swedish Sea Rescue Society, SSRS.
The Rescuerunner is a minimal but powerful rescue boat. It’s rugged enough to operate where other boats can't. It’s extremely efficient at getting people out of the water. Its small size minimises risks when boarding in rough weather. The Rescuerunner is used for rescuing or assisting people in white water zones, in shallow areas, among rocks and reefs. The Rescuerunner can operate individually or be carried to an emergency by boat, car or helicopter.
The Rescuerunner is an integral part of the FIRST-project - a cooperative initiative between the Swedish Sea Rescue Society - SSRS, Stena Line to improve mass evacuations at sea.
